A well-diversified company begun in 1986, Panhandle Builders and Excavating, Inc., was founded by local residents, Allen, David and Carole Henry. With a mission of exceeding customers’ expectations while producing the highest quality of commercial and residential construction at the lowest cost, PB & E and its residential housing division, Panhandle Homes of Berkeley County, have been recognized since their inception as a driving force in the construction industry in this tri-state area.

PB & E and Panhandle Homes strive to be active members of the community.

The company’s involvement includes donations of land, labor and/or materials to non-profit organizations as varied as the Berkeley County Library, the Poor House Farm Park Equestrian Center, the Martinsburg Boys and Girls Club, United Way, and Habitat for Humanity.
