Frequently Asked Questions

  • What’s covered under Home Warranty?

The 11-month Warranty is limited to major structural items.  A few of these include items such as nail pops, drywall seam separations due to shrinkage of lumber and door adjustments. Please keep in mind that your warranty is for materials, workmanship, and installation.  Routine maintenance is your responsibility as a homeowner, and is not covered under the warranty.

  • How do I determine if I have a Warranty issue or a Maintenance issue?

A leaking water pipe during your first month may be due to a defect in workmanship. If this occurs, please call us and we will dispatch the appropriate individual immediately.  However, a clogged water pipe may be caused by an occupant failing to run enough water while using the garbage disposal and hence becomes a maintenance issue.

  • What is considered an “emergency?”

An emergency would be constituted as being without heat as a result of your HVAC not working or a major water leak. If you have a major water leak please turn the water off immediately at the valve located:  ______________________.  Please notify the warranty department immediately at warranty@panhandlbuilders.com or call us at 304/274-1920. If this occurs after hours, please call the emergency numbers located in your warranty packet.  If this is a life threatening emergency please call 911.
